Additional Charges

Voluntary charge for FEEE funding

“The FEEE funding enables you to access 15 or 30 hours a week of funded high quality, flexible childcare. The FEEE funding does not cover cost of snacks, other consumables, additional hours, or additional services. The Provider can charge Parents for the following in connection with the funded but these charges must be voluntary for the Parent.

consumables to be used by the child, such as nappies, wipes, hand towels and sun cream

meals and snacks consumed by the child (based on what we provide per session)

extra optional activities such as events, celebrations, specialist tuition (for example signing classes or specialist sports tuition) or other activities that are not directly related or necessary for the effective delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework”

The voluntary charge enables us to provide additional services and activities that are above and beyond what the EYFS states a child should receive. We have always strived to offer more than the basic provision. Unfortunately government funding barely covers the basic delivery of childcare. As a charity Pre-School we cannot continue to fund for these above and beyond experiences without the support of our parents.

Support from our parents is vital to the future of the Pre-School.

The voluntary charge is payable for children who receive FEEE3/4 funding. Children who receive FEEE2 and FEEE2W funding will be charged the term after their child turns 3 years old. Voluntary charge is not payable for fee paying children as this is included.

To support the quality and enrichment of our provision, a voluntary charge applies:

Morning sessions - £2.10 per morning session

Afternoon sessions - £1.60 per afternoon session

The voluntary charge enables us to provide additional activities and services including but not limited to the following;

  • Bookbag and lending book to take home
  • Trips to the local community
  • Enhanced ratios for trips out
  • Online Tapestry Learning Journal
  • Cooking activities
  • Additional activities for festivals and celebrations
  • Snack (morning session)
  • Enhanced staff qualifications and training
  • Leavers party and gift

Parents who choose to opt out will be asked to provide certain things for their child, there is a donations list which will help towards reducing our outgoings and will enable your child to take part in our enhanced provisions. There will be a few additional services that will not be accessible.
