About Us

Our Pre-School is committee run and has over 40 years experience. Formerly known as Forest Drive Pre-School, it was originally run from the local church, then moving to the church hall. As demand increased larger premises were required, we were lucky enough to be offered two large classrooms, with our own outdoor area, at Westlands Community Primary School. The move took place in July 2003. In July 2017 the building work started for our new premises within the school site. The was completed for the beginning of term in September 2017.

Our Aims at Beaches Pre-School:

  • To provide high quality care and education for all children.
  • To work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop.
  • To offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
  • To meet children's individual needs through play based learning.
  • To provide a safe, secure, stimulating and welcoming environment.
  • To nurture self-confidence, self-esteem and encourage independence.
  • To regularly review our resources to provide ongoing stimulation and interest.
  • To regularly observe children and record their developmental progress.
  • To continually review and evaluate our provision and resources to ensure that all children are receiving quality education.
  • To keep up-to-date with early years development, new legislation and strategies.
  • To work within the guidelines of the revised Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • To maintain close links with the local primary schools ensuring a good transition into full-time education.
  • Most of all we want your child to have fun.

We aim to ensure your child:
